A fun day in Wilmington!

We all went down to Wilmington yesterday to meet the newest additon to our "family",

Addison Grace Cannon.

After visiting with Becky and Addison we stopped by Wilmington College to let the boys run around campus.

A Night Full of New Tricks

Last night was a night packed full of new tricks for Grayden.

We went out to dinner last night and forgot to bring Grayden's sippy cup.  What I thought was going to be a HUGE disaster ended up being an amazing new adventure!  Don (and the lady who took our order) was convinced that he would use a straw.  I, on the other hand, did not think that it would ever be possible.  Guess what, I was wrong!  I know, I know, that NEVER happens... but it did!  He knew just what to do with it!  We were so proud of him! 

The other new trick that Grayden has learned in the past two days is to blow his own nose.  Only recently have we been been starting to say the word "blow" when we wipe his nose.  It only took him one or two days to figure it out all on his own!  While in the kitchen on Monday he grabbed a paper towel and stuck it up to his nose and blew.  I didn't know what to think!  So I have been taking every opportunity to let him do it himself because it still just amazes me how smart he is!  There are a couple of pictures included in the slideshow of him with a tissue blowing his nose and waving it around.

Sesame Street Cupcakes!!!!

Mommy was feeling very ambitious and decided to make Grayden some Sesame Street Cupcakes for him to take to school. 

They turned out sooooo cute! 

Grayden's Sick...

On Friday the Daycare called me to let me know that Grayden had a fever of 102.5.  He was really cranky and tired and didn't want to eat anything.  His fever got up to 103.5 and then slowly went back down over night.  Since Saturday afternoon he has been fever free but still very cranky and not very hungry at all.  We went to the doctor today just in case and she said it was just a cold that he was going to have to tough out.  So... Lots of water and rest for the little guy! 

Mother's Day Gifts

This is what Grayden made for me at school for Mother's Day!  He glued everything on himself! 

Sara made me this edible flower arrangement.  She made the cookies and candies herself!  (We had already eaten some of the cookies before the picture was taken)

Learning to Climb!

Grayden is at the stage where he is learning to climb... on EVERYTHING. This is a pop up cutting board for our kitchen cabinets that happens to be at just the right height for Grayden! He loves to climb up there and help mommy in the kitchen. Some nights, he even stands there and eats his dinner!
