On Friday we took a trip to Johnson City to visit the Hands On Museum.
I have always remembered coming here when I was little,
so we definately wanted to go so Grayden could check it out!

Grayden is showing me his hands...

This is an exhibit about locks and dams... but mostly we just played with boats in the water.
 Grayden LOVED the car!

And everyone LOVED the next exhibit...

 They had a volcano demonstration...
And a coal chute to get down to the basement exhibits.
Who wouldn't want to fly a plane!  Especially one so colorful!
Grayden definately loves tractors... Mommy definately loves AC tractors!
Grayden needed to take time to pick the crops...

Before going off to work at the bank...

We got to see just how strong Grayden is...

Then we moved on to the shadow exhibit.  You pressed the button and then posed in front of the screen.
I wanted to get a picture of all of our shadows... but someone kept hitting the button and jumping in before I could get a picture.
Thier main exhibit was dinosaurs!  Grayden got to try on some dino feet and walk aroun don the foam to make foot prints.

At the end of the exhibit was a place to put on pupet shows...

We all had a LOT of fun at the museum and can't wait to come back!

Later that morning we went to Seavers to pick up some of their delicious doughnuts!  It has always been a tradition to get donughts from this place every year.

We got to watch them getting frosted on the conveyor belt.

And they even put the fresh warm doughnuts right into one of our boxes!

We drove straight home and had them for breakfast!

Uncle Billy stopped over with his new wife Karen.
Grayden was really happy to see Uncle Billy!
And very excited to meet his new Aunt Karen.

After loading up on plenty of sugar, Grayden was bouncing off the walls... or at least the chair!

Tennessee 2012
We got to Tennessee late on Thursday night and went straight to bed!
The next morning we hung out for a little while.
Grayden was being very silly.  He was being a snake and licking Aunt Phyllis.

Then he just wanted to make a  bunch of silly faces.

On the way down to Tennessee, Dad and I got into a discussion about "hollers".  This is dad looking up the definition of "holler" on the ipad.
And, this is Phyllis looking up the definition the old fashioned way :)... with an actual dictionary.
I was right, Dad was wrong :)
But, I'm sure that if you ask him he would disagree.
